Chummree-uhp soo-up(Hello), Weiling here . (:

On Monday, we watched a video clip about Angkor wat which is one of the seven wonders in the world . I learnt that the temple was built for the king in Cambodia as he wanted to be the god of the Cambodia . Statues in Angkor Wat showed what they did in the past and that is the most important thing why it became one of the seven wonders in the world . There is also a moat surrounding the castle and the moat was extrodinary larger than the other moats which we have seen . I cant wait to set my eyes on the castle . Downcounting 3more days from now . :D

Chumree-uhp lee-uh (Goodbye)

Reflections

Hi everyone this is Jiasheng.
After watching the video about the history of Angkor Wat , I learn that the temple is built for the king as the king wanted to be like a god. By looking at the video I know the there are many carving on the wall showing what they do there. Knowing that it is a great temple we should not play there. I am very excited and I wish that everyone would be excited too.
Wish that everything would turn out very fun and great.
Bye !

Video Reflections on 9th Nov 09

Wei Jie writing for the Video Reflection on 9th Nov. This is my first time, I was quite surprised to see a real castle surrounded by a lake. I understand that Polpot misunderstood the main idea of the castle which the king build for his will to become God's King. Buddhism has also spread across to Cambodia which influenced the king, then now the castle is inherited by the Monks who pray everyday there, after climbing up the stairs.
I just can't wait to see it, when we go Cambodia !

Reflection

The name Siem Reap means the "Defeat of Siam" today's Thailand. Pol pot was the leader of the Cambodian communist movement known as the Khmers Rouge and he became the leader of Cambodia in mid-1975. Angkor wat is the central feature containing the magnificant remains of the Khmers civilisation and is one of the seven wonders in Cambodian now. I think that the structures there are very beautiful and that is one of the reason why i want to go for this Cambodia Cip trip. Cambodia is the country because people there are less fortunate and we need to "provide" them a key so as to motivate and inspire them to move on. They may be poor but thay are equally happy as us because the people there showering love to them at all times. I really can't wait to go there and experience everything myself .
